Clouds over Back Bay

A wonderful late spring day at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge - perfect skies and temperatures made for a good photo shoot.

Easter Sunset at Back Bay

Lots of high cirrus clouds over Back Bay this evening made for an awesome sunset!



A female Osprey bringing nesting materials to her nest site in Virginia Beach. 
You can tell the female by the "necklace" of brown feathers around her neck. 
The male has a solid white breast. 
The Osprey can rotate their outer front talons rearward to aid in carrying fish.

Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge - July Sunset.  This was taken near the Ranger Station
I just got there as the sun was about 10 degrees above the horizon.  Finally - a sunset with some
