OPSAIL 2012 is in full swing at Norfolk, VA. 
This is the Spanish Ship "JUAN SEBASTIAN DE ELCANO"
a 370 foot Topsail Schooner, one of the largest ships at OPSAIL.

Blue Angels



Blue Angel Number One sits on the ramp at
NAS Oceana at sunset, just after a rain.  You can see the reflection
of the brilliant orange sunset just under the canopy.

It had been raining all day and just as we arrived, the rain stopped and
the sunset appeared through a gap in the clouds.

 Got the sun just as it was peeking through the narrow opening in the clouds.

Summer Sunset - Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge



Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge - July Sunset.  This was taken near the Ranger Station
I just got there as the sun was about 10 degrees above the horizon.  Finally - a sunset with some
nice cloud formations!

 


  
 



Abandoned Lumber Mill - Cass, WV



This is the largest structure still standing (barely) of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company
in Cass, WV.  The mill was closed in 1960 and burned in 1982.

 




Smoke in the Forest

way back toward Cass, WV from the trip up to Bald Knob last Saturday.
